Dr Bhooma S is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, SRM Valliammai Engineering College, Kattankulathur, Chennai, India. An emerging researcher, she has been awarded Ph.D. from Anna University in the field of Mathematical Oncology. She is the first person and the first woman to be awarded Ph.D in Mathematical Oncology in India. She has received recognition for her achievements – she was awarded "Best Researcher in Maths" in KMF Awards 2025 by Kumari Mangrove Foundation on 23/05/2025. She was conferred "Young Women Scientist Award" by Wisdom Path Foundation on 14/11/2025. She was awarded "Distinguished Scientist Award" by Silampoli Foundation on 12/12/2025. She has expertise in Numerical methods, Calculus, Probability, and Statistics. Her research interests include Mathematical Oncology, Mathematical Modeling, Bio Fluid Mechanics, Numerical Methods, Simulations, Sensitivity analysis and Parameter estimation
